Just a Quick Post... Autism T's

The sun is out and we've been running around and raking leaves and hopefully a little bit later I'll have enough energy to post something after I finish sewing but before I fall asleep. But I just had to get online really quick to post this quick picture of our shirts.  Maggie is really, really excited about the pinkness of hers... but I think Patch was the most excited about modeling his.  He kept running up and waiting to get his picture taken:

  1. I've been wanting to comment to you for a while now but wasn't sure what to say...I think I'm ready now.

Thank you. Thank you for talking openly about Autism, and talking about it the way you do. You have given me a greater understanding. Reading what you have to say is refreshing when we are bombarded on a daily basis about Awareness and the search for a cure. I am so thankful for what you write, your voice on this topic, and your acceptance of Autism. God bless you and your sweet family.

    Yours most sincerely,
    Meg in Michigan

  2. I'm writing about your posting on Facebook about the herbs surviving winter. Yep, the snow probably protected them MORE than if there was none and they had to weather the brutal cold bare. The snow cover keeps them from being exposed to the wind which lessens the drying out, and the frozen ground keeps them from heaving (and dying) as they might in a thaw/freeze cycle of a warmish winter.
Also, you can tell what the herb is just by plucking a leaf, crushing it, and smelling it, but I would guess it must be the oregano that survived, because that is a perennial, and basil is an annual (I think).
I just love when these herb plants green up in the spring, and there they are, in all their goodness.
By the way, we also live in the upper Midwest, and we just planted kale, spinach, radishes, and beets TODAY. These are "cold" crop plants, and do better when the air is cool. The botanist on TV said you can plant them as soon as the temperature stays above 30 at night. Sooooo..... (Radishes in 29 days!)
    God Bless. ~ Bonnie

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
